I have been writing and telling stories for over 25 years, and this collection includes some of my most popular campfire tales.  Many of the stories incorporate historical facts, some are true, some are not.       When Dale showed up for the hike everyone thought he was a little crazy.  
In a weird way he looked a bit like a pirate of old, but instead of a parrot,  it was a chicken that perched on his shoulder.
      The next morning, folks began to look at Dale a little different, because you see he had fried eggs for breakfast. (They had dried cereal or day old biscuits).
    That evening Dale was real popular, 
because , while everyone else had stuff reconstituted from water, he had fried chicken.
      However, Dale was not done yet.  When he went to sleep that  night he had a brand new feather pillow.

This web site is dedicated to campfire stories. Telling stories is a long historical tradition. In fact the telling of stories and those storytellers who told them were the historians of eras long gone.There is the funny story, the scary story, the how to story, and these all can be told around the campfire.  A campfire story can add as much to the campout as the proper tent, sleeping bag, backpack or other camping equipment. There is a lot that goes into the telling of campfire stories. Your average campfire story can take only a few minutes to tell, but because of the hypnotic properties of the fire itself, the story can come alive for those gathered around to listen. 93224
